The Huddersfield Junior Football League was created 1974 to provide a platform for Junior Football due to a lack of opportunity for youth trying to get into playing the sport they love. 

The HJFL offers Development and Competitive football from Under 7's, right through to Under 18, to give the opportunity for all children to have fun, make new friends and enjoy the game of football, all within a safe and encouraging environment. We firmly believe in the long-term development of children on and off the pitch, not only as players but as young people as they begin to shape their lives through their love of the game.

At the HJFL, we believe in education and making sure that players of all age groups, along with coaches and parents, are educated to make sure that the environment in which our children play football in, is the right one which is safe, fun and enjoyable for all involved 

We positively encourage all children to play the game of football, no matter what their ability may be, through development football through the foundation age groups so that they can learn the rules and the fundamentals of the game. This eventually leads into competitive structured football. With nearly 1000 teams, you'd be hard pressed to not find one close to your locality.
